  38. local comms are charged, and it is absolutely forbidden to carry out a talk
  39. with a non-ham.

  62. Yes, and they work a treat (pity about having to string all that wire
  63. around though :-)  About $20 of components (741 op amp, box, switches,
  64. speaker etc) outperformed my FT-470 100 feet underground...

  66. For working above ground (up to 10,500 feet in one case :-) I prefer
  67. the Yaesu, though!
